About the Opportunity
Our client is a well-established international engineering and construction organisation with a strong footprint across the UK energy sector. They provide multidisciplinary engineering, procurement, construction and maintenance support to major oil and gas operators, delivering complex projects across the full asset lifecycle. With extensive experience in both onshore and offshore environments, the business has developed a strong reputation for supporting brownfield modifications, asset integrity programmes and operational improvement works within live production facilities.
We are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong static equipment expertise to support a portfolio of brownfield projects across both onshore and offshore assets.
Key Responsibilities

Provide mechanical engineering support across brownfield oil & gas projects

Lead and deliver static equipment design, assessment and modification scopes

Support asset integrity and life extension activities

Review and approve calculations, datasheets, specifications and technical documentation

Liaise with multidisciplinary teams including process, piping, structural and operations

Support offshore surveys and site visits where required

Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards and client specifications
Equipment Experience Required
Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience across static mechanical equipment, including:

Fired heaters
-
Pig receiver vessels
-
Pressure vessels
-
Vessel internals
-
Heat exchangers
-
Loading arms
-
Flare systems
-
Chemical injection systems
Candidate Requirements

Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)

Proven experience within brownfield environments (onshore and offshore)

Strong understanding of pressure equipment codes and industry standards

Experience working within live operating facilities

Ability to manage multiple scopes and liaise confidently with stakeholders

Offshore certification (e.g. BOSIET/FOET and MIST) highly desirable
