Site Planner – Sunderland, UK
Salary: £65,000–£75,000 per year
Hybrid: 3 days on site
We’re looking for an experienced Site Planner to join the delivery team on a high-profile industrial facility in Sunderland. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the project schedule, coordinate multiple contractors, and provide clear, data-driven insights that will directly influence the successful delivery of the programme.
With 3 days on site (rest from home), you’ll be fully embedded with the construction and project teams, gaining hands-on exposure to fast-moving, complex projects.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and updating the integrated project schedule in Primavera P6, integrating contractor and supplier programmes, monitoring progress, and identifying critical paths, dependencies, and risks. You’ll prepare clear reports and dashboards to support decision-making, attend and present at coordination meetings, and help ensure a single source of truth across all programme information. You’ll also contribute to risk identification, mitigation planning, and schedule reviews, helping the team stay ahead of challenges and deliver efficiently.
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years’ project planning experience, ideally as a Site Planner on large-scale construction, industrial, or high-tech projects
- Strong experience with Primavera P6 and Excel, including data analysis and reporting
- Confident in presenting updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively with contractors, suppliers, and project teams to drive delivery
- Experience in fast-paced, complex, or high-tech environments is a strong advantage
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
The Opportunity:
- Work on a flagship industrial project, embedded with the delivery team
- Hybrid working model: 3 days on site, giving you hands-on exposure and collaboration
- Competitive salary of £65,000–£75,000, reflecting experience and expertise
- Be part of a collaborative, high-performing team influencing a complex, fast-moving programme
- This is a role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving scheduling challenges, and seeing the tangible impact of their work on a major industrial project.
