A leading FMCG Manufacturer is currently recruiting for a Site Construction MEP Project Manager with previous Factory New Build / Factory Expansion Project Management Experience, to join the business on a permanent basis to oversee and deliver a significant site expansion and new site build projects over their UK Manufacturing sites covering all UK Locations (Scotland, Yorkshire, North West, South West and South East).
This is a new position to the business to be based in the UK and will report in to the Groups Projects Team overseas. The role will consist of mixture of remote / home working as well as travel to and staying away at sites whilst delivering projects. Our clients is seeking someone based in or around the Midlands area of the UK due to their UK Manufacturing Site locations covering entire of the UK, but this is not essential.
Our client is seeking candidates with previous experience in delivery of New Site Builds or Factory Extension projects and complex constructions projects, desirable within FMCG Manufacturing sector. They are seeking someone with previous client facing experience and who can manage contractors on site as well as working with suppliers to the project, whilst managing expectations on project delivery to the end client.
MEP Project Manager Responsibilities include:
•Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary project team
•Proactive with a strong ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
•Excellent level of attention to detail and accuracy
•The ability to lead projects from inception to completion, managing budgets, attending design team meetings, onsite inspections and liaising with project teams.
•The ability to co-ordinate and manage multiple multi-million pound projects
•Willingness to travel across the UK
•Knowledge of current Energy Efficient designs and techniques.
•Understanding of industrial Waste Water Treatment plants.
•Experience of Manufacturing Equipment hook-up requirements.
•Knowledge of SCADA Controls, Automation and BMS systems.
•Ability to undertake MEP surveys in live manufacturing environment and out-of-hours as required.
You will be a MEP Project Manager with 5+ Years’ Experience in the design of Mechanical Services Engineering, preferably in a consultancy/main contractor environment. Experience in design of HVAC, Pipework Systems, Industrial Electrical Systems, Industrial Refrigeration Systems are essential. Must have previous experience in approval of Contractor and Consultant designs, submittals, material and equipment proposals. AutoCAD, Revit MEP experience being desirable along with previous experience of Food Manufacturing Site Builds / Expansions.
