This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in the waste or environmental sector who is confident managing teams, driving compliance and delivering P&L performance
What you’ll be doing:
• Manage all aspects of daily operations, including processing areas, logistics, and on-site systems
• Take full P&L responsibility—overseeing budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and driving efficiency across the site
• Lead, train, and support staff at all levels, managing recruitment, shift organization, and performance to build a strong, capable team
• Develop and track KPIs to maintain high standards of productivity, compliance, and operational quality
• Champion a proactive health and safety culture, working alongside compliance teams to implement best practices and ensure regulatory adherence
What you’ll need:
• Demonstrated success in leading operations within a high-paced waste management or environmental facility
• Effective team leadership skills with a track record of building and managing strong, motivated teams
• Experience with full P&L responsibility, including budget management, cost reduction, and driving continuous improvement
• In-depth knowledge of health & safety standards, environmental regulations, and permit compliance
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels of an organisation
