The successful Lead Operator will work closely with the Operations Manager, taking responsibility and ownership for delivering a high quality production in support of the achievement of goals and targets for the site plant. You will responsible for hygiene standards and equipment, with particular regard for compliance and good manufacturing practices.
Lead Operator responsibilities include:
Continuously work to improve the performance of People and Plant to deliver site efficiency and performance standards.
Lead, delegate and co‐ordinate the activities of the team of Operators in order to provide support to the Operations Manager and the wider business.
To achieve site KPI’s in respect to equipment performance, reliability, yield and compliance to audits within budget.
Promote and support the company quality and safety standards, focusing on continuous improvement whilst contributing to the companies Zero Accidents, One Team, and 100% Engagement strategy.
Planning, co‐ordinating, validation and verification of team tasks in support of the agreed good manufacturing processes across the site.
Maintain an approximate 70% / 30% hands-on to supervisory split, rapidly diagnose and resolve reactive faults and escalate in a timely manner.
Complete works associated with NCRs.
Own, drive and lead the implementation of assigned Risk Management Standards, Food Standards, critical control points, staff training and upskilling to produce a high performing team.
Ensure all mandatory paperwork and testing / inspections are delivered in a timely manner.
Demonstrate the company values and behaviours at all times.
You will be a hands-on leader with experience of the FMCG Food Manufacturing industry ideally within an Engineering / Machine Operations environment. You will be aware of statutory legislation with an understanding of CI methodologies and fault finding skills.
You will be IT literate and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
