Our Client is a UK based company providing smart infrastructure solutiuons across various the energy, water, transportation and defence markets.
They have been appointed to provide major redevleopment works on Gatwick station. The station currently experiences significant passenger congestion both at platform level and in the existing station concourse.
The project seeks to provide a world class passenger interchange from plane to train. It will improve passenger experience by providing a new concourse which will reduce congestion, improve vertical circulation and provide an intuitive connection with airport terminals.
Their contract with Network Rail is to provide GRIP 3 to 8 services, from concept design through to detailed design, construction, testing and commissioning and handover.
Reporting to the Section Manager, the Package manager's role objective is to deliver the key programme milestones through effective management of the design and fabrication of the steelwork and cladding packages.
The main two packages on the project require close management and coordination to ensure that the project milestones can be met.
The role entails taking overall responsibility of these packages from design through to delivery on site.
