Sales and Logistics Coordinator responsibilities include:
Liaise with Production Managers to ensure that all goods are available on time and despatched to meet customer requirements, and that all paperwork is accurately sent.
Interface with third party hauliers ensuring that orders are processed and delivered or collected in line with company procedures.
Minimise costs whilst maintaining customer service levels and report any delivery issues or on costs to the Operations Manager.
Handle any returns and claims quickly and efficiently,
Work with the Internal Sales Controller ensuring that accurate, efficient and timely support is always given to the Sales Team and job objectives are met.
Accurately process all daily sales orders
Follow company procedures always, take ownership of all tasks and to work with team colleagues and report any un-resolvable issues.
Follow the company health & safety procedures.
Record and report all distribution costs in a format that is presentable to the Board of Directors.
Achieve target pallet average costs.
Ensure all manufactured and third-party suppliers despatched orders balance on a weekly basis with Finance.
Liaise with Finance to gain authorisation, ensuring that all accounts are in a financial position to receive further goods prior to despatch.
Monitor, record and manage (to point of resolution) failed deliveries and damages in conjunction with Finance and raising of claims.
Process sales orders onto Sage daily and then enter the figures onto the sales spread-sheets. Print production worksheets and place them into the relevant production trays. To calculate the daily sales figures by category and circulate at the end of day.
When required to provide full cover to Internal Sales Controller, to include; trading packs, order processing and sales calls.
Organise hotels, flight bookings and social events
Ensure that all business cards are replenished for Operations and Sales departments in conjunction with Administration Co-ordinator
Manage meetings by setting up meeting room and clearing away during afternoons
To ensure daily server back-up and retain full security when doing so, keeping confidential location of keys/codes
Delivery – able to forecast and deliver results in a timely manner
You will be a Sales and Logistics Coordinator / equivalent ideally having a good overview of warehousing production capabilities within a manufacturing environment. This role will require critical thinking, good organisational skills.
