A leading FMCG food manufacturer is currently seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Manager / Assistant Technical Manager to join their team. Reporting directly to the Site Technical Manager, your role will be to support the operational teams in ensuring that all legislation, industry codes of practice and customer requirements in respect of the quality and food safety are met for all products manufactured on site.

Senior Quality Manager / Assistant Technical Manager Responsibilities include:

• Manage the site QA team and oversea the effective day to day running of the site QA process.
• Play an active role in the HACCP team and ensure that all HACCP, legislation, BRC and customer requirements are met.
• Leading the Site Quality Assurance including dealing with customers on hosting site audits, dealing with complaints and non-conformance's and agreeing and implementing corrective actions as required.
• Being the ‘voice of the client’ on site, working cross functionally with all departments to effectively communicate the needs and requirements of the client to the site.
• Review and improve on current administrative processes, making them more robust and succinct to reduce administration requirements on the team.
• Ensure site audit readiness at all times is in place and constantly maintained.
• Ensure all customer and consumer complaints are investigated promptly and replied to as required with findings trended if necessary.
• Ensure that all communication is timely, professional, accurate and collaborative both internally and externally.
• Support NPD and production trials to ensure the successful delivery of new product launches, processes & equipment and that any changes are built in to the quality system.
• Play a full and active role in the factory management team.
• Deliver good financial control in all QA activities.
• Develop and up-skill the current QA Team on site and succession plan for the future.

The successful QA Manager / Assistant Technical Manager will be ideally Degree Qualified, fully conversant with BRC 7/8 and confident in HACCP to level 4. It is essential that you have experience of a chilled food manufacturing i.e. ready meals, meats / proteins, Food To Go, Short Shelf life products etc.

This is a new role to the business and our client is seeking a highly experienced and competent Quality Assurance Manager who is seeking career development to Site Technical Manager, as our client foresees the successful applicant stepping up to Site Technical Manager position within the next 3 to 5 years.
