Technical Manager

Scantec have partnered with a client who specialize in containers for the transportation and storage of petroleum and fuel who are looking for a Technical Manager to provide technical direction and continue to develop the offerings of a small, specialized engineering team.
This is an opportunity for the right person to build out a Technical Engineering team and to scale as the business continues to grow.
The technical manager will be responsible for:
- Work cross-collaboratively between Engineering and Sales teams to ensure customer requirements are met
- Lead problem solving and generation of new ideas
- Deliver Projects on time and on budget
- Act as technical point of contact for suppliers
- Lead improvement of company systems as the company continues to grow
- Implement a maintenance program for the current company inventory
- Manage supplier relationships
The Ideal candidate will have:
- ~10 years Engineering experience
- Construction experience (Asphalt and/or bitumen preferred)
- Engineering degree, qualification or equivalent experience
- Experience in customer facing role
- Experience with Solidworks
