Scantec is newly seeking a Domestic/Residential orientated Building Control Surveyor on behalf of a medium-sized Approved Inspector boasting fantastic staff-retention rates (remote-based with site inspections in and around the West Midlands).

The Role:

This is a brand new role that has been created due to significant growth within the West Midlands region. In recent years, this region has been covered by the Manchester office, however steady increase in workload has created the need for a locally based Surveyor. They also hold a growing portfolio of Major Projects in the city that you will have the opportunity to work on.

Typical Responsibilities:
  • Undertaking plan checks submitted for Building Regulations approvals.
  • Undertaking site visits, preparing site visit reports and witnessing tests.
  • Attending client and design team meetings to give professional advice regarding building control work.
Person Specification:
  • Proven relevant industry experience within a Building Control environment, carrying out plan checking and site inspections, and managing your own projects
  • Full of part Membership of a relevant professional body such as RICS, CABE or CIOB
  • Extensive knowledge and application of Building Regulations, AI regs and associated legislation
  • Full UK Driving Licence and use of a car
