Senior Human Factors consultant will support the delivery of complex safety cases to a variety of clients. The Human Factors consultant should have a broad range of industry, legislation and technical knowledge in the application of human factors techniques in areas such as decommissioning, decontamination, transport and or waste management together with knowledge of client specific systems.
The Human Factors Consultant will develop and present robust and reasoned arguments and deliver consultancy in line with the clients expectations particularly with regard to technical excellence and the quality of deliverables. They will manage his work in the form of small to medium sized projects either as a project of technical lead focusing on delivering work to the agreed programme in budget whilst keeping the client and internal stakeholders informed of both technical and commercial progress.
The Human Factors consultant must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in the production of Human Factors aspects of safety case documents for plant at different life cycle stages, production of major elements of Human Factors support to safety cases including fault analysis and the identification, specification, and design of safety systems. They should also be able to provide evidence of being directly involved with the integration of Human Factors techniques in the design process, interfacing with stakeholders and have the capability to work unsupervised within a team.
Experience: 5+ years relevant technical experience
Project Management: Demonstrate good level of project management knowledge and experience
Site Experience: A good knowledge of working on at least one site and using its systems and processes
Case Studies & Project Profiles: Where and when possible, can demonstrate evidence in the form of a technical paper (Project Profile) of at least 1 project & produced at least 3 case studies (1 page Powerpoint)
Presentations: Delivered at least 2 internal presentations – 1 project & 1 technical related
