Senior Strategic Planner (OUTSIDE IR35)

Scantec are currently looking for a Senior Strategic Planner for one of our most prestigious clients.

25% home based, 75% site based

To enable improved overall performance for a specific area of the business through the provision of Business Management analysis and expertise and leading of embedded teams.

Key requirements and essential skills for the role:  
  • Strategic planning skills, Primavera P6, good understanding of Horizontal and Vertical integration, experience of EVM

Key Accountabilities:
  • Providing challenge and insight to the business around the drivers of performance.
  • Line and Task-managing the team in accordance with company policies, processes, and guidelines.
  • The production of business plans, performance management baselines, performance forecasts, project close and ad-hoc options / scenarios, as required, in accordance with the appropriate procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensuring that all deliverables produced by line and task-managed resources meet the required deadlines and quality.
  • Managing responses to internal demands that mitigate the impact on business performance.
  • Ensuring the output of resource demand and supply discussions is reflected within forecasts.
  • Being the single point of contact (POC) for the Business Controller and Business teams on business area performance.
  • Supporting or developing F&BM policy and procedures as required.
  • Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing the integration of all required F&BM disciplines.
  • Building effective relationships across the business area and broader business.
  • Consolidated business area analysis and commentary of performance through financial and non-financial performance indicators.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships and awareness with key internal leadership stakeholders.
  • Creating and aligning business opportunities, including recommendations for performance interventions and efficiency saving.
  • Highlighting key business performance, risks, issues, and opportunities to key internal leadership stakeholders and ensuring that decisions and actions are taken, and progress monitored.
  • Providing the single point of contact for the Business Controller and the [Project / Function / Tech Centre] manager for all aspects of business area performance.
  • Leading by example to create a high performing team.
