NPD Technologist 

Full time Permanent Northwest Contractual hours of work are 37.5 hours a week 

Salary – £27,000 - £33,000 DOE

This role will report directly to the NPD Manager, the right candidate will require passion and commitment.  

Duties will include: 
  • Deliver NPD activities for innovation projects in close collaboration with cross functional teams and successfully transitions them into Commercialisation 
  • Provide technical support and project leadership for identified innovation opportunities 
  • Create technical and product understanding research plans to fit overall project deliverables 
  • Develop, prepare, and deliver new products in a timely manner to ensure all products are technically compliant with the clinical requirements 
  • You will be involved in all aspects of bringing new products to the market - from the initial concept right through to product launch 
  •  Proven ability to solve complex technical and operational problems in a timely manner 
  • Design and develop sensory tests and conduct frequent in-house tastings 
  • Request formula, marketing, sample, and technical information from suppliers 


To be considered for this role, candidates are required to have: 
  • Experience in formulation of foods including working with ingredient suppliers 
  • Strong technical (formulation and process) knowledge to deliver the Innovation and development pipeline as part of our Innovation aspiration 
  • Highly organised and self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure to high standards and very tight deadlines 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent interpersonal skills 

  • Previously worked in the development of Medical Foods or Foods for Special Medical Purposes (FSMP’s) 
  •  Experience of having worked in a GMP Manufacturing environment preferable.
