Scantec FMCG are working with a leading FMCG Manufacturer in East Kilbride to assist in recruiting a Multi Skilled Engineer on their Days only shift pattern. This is a fantastic business with a development-driven and supportive culture and are able to support / fund further engineering qualifications and training. 

Ideally you will have FMCG experience, either within a manufacturing or distribution environment.

Days, 06:30 - 18:30
Lots of overtime available
Pitman shift / "7 day fortnight"
(2 week rotation)
Week 1: IN - Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, Sun (OFF - Weds & Thurs) - 5x shifts in
Week 2: IN - Weds, Thurs (OFF - Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat Sun) - 2 shifts in

There might be some flexibility on salary dependant on experience. 

Job Purpose:
To maintain a wide range of production equipment as well as general maintenance and installation within the Company planned preventative maintenance system, on line fault finding and process development on a day to day basis with responsibility of working on one’s own initiative during shifts, reporting to the Engineering Manager

Multi Skilled Engineer - Brief summary of responsibilities:
  • Work as an active part of a skilled cross functional planned maintenance team.
  • Optimum plant efficiency maintained or improved than OEM standards to maximise manufacturing
  • Assist and support mechanical engineers with their duties.
  • Actively participate in a Continuous Improvement culture throughout the site, constantly identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce waste.
  • Maintaining facilities as well as manufacturing equipment for efficiency and sustainably
  • Ensure planned maintenance work is completed to strict schedules, and constantly look for improvements that will ensure reliability of equipment is improved.
  • Involved in maintenance strategy through teamwork and individual projects
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Electrical bias would be preferred, however this is flexible depending on overll skill set. Ideally you'll have experience of working in an FMCG environment and hold the aappropriate engineering qualifications.
