Role: Cost Engineer / Senior Cost Engineer
Location: Remote with ad hoc, fully expensed travel
Sector: Major Projects and Nuclear
Salary: £40,000-£55,000 (depending on experience) plus car allowance and excellent benefits package

Scantec are working in partnership with a global organisation that specialise in client support across a range of major projects in various sectors. Currently their live projects span across Nuclear, Petrochemical and Utilities and due to an enhanced workload they are now looking to expand their cost function UK wide.

There are roles available for Cost Engineers and Senior Cost Engineers who will be joining existing Project Controls functions and will perform cost management activities on various contracts.

 The roles are also worked mainly on a remote working basis with much flexibility on offer for staff. Ad hoc travel may be required to client sites, however this will be fully expensed.

Essential requirements:
  • Previous experience of working in a project controls team as a Cost Engineer on a major project within the UK Infrastructure sector (Defence, Nuclear, Rail, Airport, Highways, Utilities and similar)
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Visio
  • Demonstrable knowledge in project controls and project management methodologies such as cost management methodologies and techniques, earned value management, progress reporting – rules of credit, forecasting, working knowledge of cost risk analysis techniques, performance reporting and analysis;
