Shift Pattern

6am – 2pm, 2pm – 10pm, 10pm – 6am weekly rotating Mon - Fri


A fantastic opportunity for 2 electrically biased Maintenance Supervisors to join a growing team undergoing heavy investment including a full new shift requiring 3 new engineers and 2 new Supervisors.

Job Description 
  • Received and issues permits to work and ensure engineering work is carried out to H&S, environmental and engineering standards
  • Assisting with the training and coaching with the apprentices and team
  • Implementation of Risk Assessments and support of HASSARD assessments
  • Coach, mentor and educate employees to develop, support and sustain a maintenance culture ‐ establish improvement as a way of life
  • Develop and deliver Productivity pipeline improvement projects and savings
  • Plan and deliver Engineering projects across the site to deliver business cost reduction targets
  • Develop and challenge the production and engineering team to embed the lean tools, techniques and leadership behaviours ‐ be an ambassador for engineering programme
  • Facilitate and lead engineering events as the subject matter expert
  • Execute plans by building and utilising cross‐functional teams to meet /exceed business goals
  • Coach others to enhance their personal performance by setting clear targets and SMART objectives
  • Monitor cost, schedule and progress of all engineering projects and events, intervene to take remedial actions where appropriate
  • Encourage knowledge sharing across the site to accelerate improvements and benefits
  • Supports Plant Managers and Leadership team to develop and deliver an engineering continuous
  • improvement culture
  • Ensure Maintenance systems are fully utilised to optimise performance
  • I take ownership for housekeeping by utilising 5s & other JEM (JELD‐WEN Excellence Model) tools ‐ 'a place for everything and everything in its place'
  • Attend daily GEMBA walk and respond to actions, escalate accordingly
  • Attend daily SQDCIP boards, update, highlight priorities and actions to timescales.
  • Support Leadership teams to control SQDCIP performance and continuously challenge the status quo
  • Support all teams through asking open questions, ensure a clear understanding and action accordingly
  • Help fix the daily issues by priorities
  • Ensure the productivity and Capex projects have quantifiable and proven benefits. Support project leaders to validate the project proposal and logic.
  • Ensure confidence in the projects, benefits, plan and delivery
  • Implement the project through delivery by ensuring the correct engineering tools and techniques are used and that the project is well manged to deliver the key milestones and benefits.
  • Support the business in identifying engineering improvement projects that make real impact to our
  • customers and financials
Qualifications:

Essential Electrical Apprenticeship to Level 3
Essential 17 Edition qualification or Equivalent
Experience within Manufacturing environment
