Production Supervisor
Days, Monday to Friday
7.30am - 4pm
40 hours per week

Our client, a leading FMCG business in Selby is seeking a Production Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis. The main purpose of this role is to provide support to managers and ensure production and quality levels are achieved in a timely and efficient way, provide support and training to production workers and manage any staffing issues that may arise.

Production Supervisor  – Summary of duties and responsibilities:
  • Ensure all workers are completing their tasks as detailed in their job description.
  • Ensure staffing issues promptly and correctly dealt with.
  • Ensure adequate skills are built and maintained to retain multi skilled labour pool and adequate holiday/ absence cover.
  • Manage the performance of workers and work with management to minimise any conflict and poor performance.
  • Communicate daily / weekly work programmes and ensure these are tackled correctly.
  • Plan and balance holiday requests whilst optimising staff attendance, skills sets and required work levels.
  • Check the relevant paperwork is completed – accurate and consistent across the team.
  • Remain aware of health and safety responsibilities of yourself, your equipment and team.
  • Ensure all relevant daily/weekly/monthly checks are completed
  • Check and maintain systems and excel worksheets to a high standard.
  • Close monitoring of work hours to ensure work quality is reflective of hours worked.
  • Ensure return to works are completed straight away when staff return from being absent
Required skills, knowledge and experience:

Ideally you will have similar supervisory or management experience in a production or warehouse FMCG background. Full training will provided. We are looking for somebody with good IT skills, good communication skills and who is well organised and flexible.
