Scantec FMCG are working with a leading FMCG Manufacturer in East Kilbride to assist in recruiting a Maintenance Engineer on their Nights team. This is a fantastic business with a development-driven and supportive culture and you can gain further formal qualifications and the chance to progress into a nights lead role as the site is growing. 

Flexibility on salary depending on experience

Nights: 18:30-06:30
Pitman shift pattern, (two week rotation) 
Every other weekend off!!

Week 1: Mon & Tues IN,  Weds & Thurs OFF,  Friday, Sat and Sun IN
Week 2: Mon & Tues OFF,  Weds & Thurs IN,  Friday, Sat and Sun OFF

Overtime available
 
Maintenance Engineer - Job Purpose:

To maintain a wide range of production equipment as well as general maintenance and installation within the Company planned preventative maintenance system, on line fault finding and process development on a day to day basis with responsibility of working on one’s own initiative during shifts, reporting to the Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work as an active part of a skilled cross functional planned maintenance team.
  • Optimum plant efficiency maintained or improved than OEM standards to maximise manufacturing
  • Assist and support mechanical engineers with their duties.
  • Actively participate in a Continuous Improvement culture throughout the site, constantly identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce waste.
  • Maintaining facilities as well as manufacturing equipment for efficiency and sustainability
  • Ensure planned maintenance work is completed to strict schedules, and constantly look for improvements that will ensure reliability of equipment is improved.
  • Involved in maintenance strategy through teamwork and individual projects
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

You will ideally have some experience of working in a fast paced manufacturing or FMCG environment and hold the appropriate accredited engineering qualifications.
