A leading FMCG food manufacturer is currently seeking a Food Safety / Hygiene Manager for a 9 – 12 month fixed term contract (day rate interim will be considered - Inside IR35)

Reporting to the Site Technical Manager, the Food Safety / Hygiene Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring site compliance with food safety legislation including HACCP, pest control and hygiene standards.

The successful Food Safety Coordinator will have previous experience in a similar role through a Hygiene, Quality or Technical management related position in the food manufacturing sector.

Food Safety / Hygiene Coordinator responsibilities include:

• Responsible for the day to day validation and verification of the site HACCP document and be an integral member of the site HACCP team.
• Responsible for the site management of the pest control contract.
• Responsible for facilitating the investigation of all food safety related customer complaints.
• Responsible for supporting the site to ensure suitable cleaning procedures are in place
• Responsible for the cleaning risk assessment for site.
• Review all microbiological results and facilitate action plans if required.
• Responsible for ensuring the cleaning matrix for planning is appropriate to prevent cross contamination from allergens and support any free from claims
• Responsible for the site management of the glass and hard plastic auditing system.
• Facilitate the investigation into all foreign body contamination incidents on site.
• Maintain and manage the allergen risk assessment and ensure the validation process is in place and fully compliant.
• Review the microbiological specs for the raw materials to be used
