One of the UK's largest Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) contractors with a product/service portfolio ranging from M&E LV, HV, Instrumentation, Street Lighting, Facilities Management through to Combined Heat and Power solutions.

The team in Thatcham are currently looking to recruit a new Senior Project Manager, to join the team to assist in delivery of a large scale HV project for a prestigious client. You'll be involved in the Contract and Project Management of a HV Design and Build project from design development stages through to completion ensuring all safety, quality, technical and commercial requirements are met. This will include; engineering support to estimators and bid teams, design development, client management and development, SHE management, project planning and operational delivery, management of on‐site teams and finally, financial and cost management for the project.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have significant experience of managing HV design and build contracts in a contracting environment. You'll ideally have a HNC qualification or equivalent in High Voltage Engineering or Building Services Engineering, although this is not essential if relevant experience can be demonstrated. We would also be looking for you to have; a working knowledge of current CDM Regulations , experience and knowledge of management of NEC Contracts. A knowledge of MS project, Asta /Prima Vera P6 and CEMAR software packages would be advantageous. SMSTS or equivalent is essential. You'll also have excellent project management and communication skills, as well as good client and customer relation skills with the ability to work in a team environment. You'll have experience of managing operational teams, achieving and setting targets, and be able to apply financial and budgetary controls to maximise profit returns. Finally, you'll be enthusiastic, innovative and open to take on new challenges. It is essential for this role that you have a full UK driving licence.
