A leading FMCG manufacturer within the Somerset area is currently seeking a Production Planner / Raw Materials Coordinator to join their Supply Chain team on a permanent basis due to growth.

The successful Planner will be responsible for creating daily production schedules, preparing long-term planning and managing materials in line with production on site.

Reporting into the Planning Manager, the Planner will be confident in the use of MRP / ERP systems and experienced in working within a fast paced manufacturing environment.  Please note, Advanced Excel skills are a mandatory requirement for this role.

Planner responsibilities include:
• Create production schedules
• Communicate long-term forecast supporting the sales activity
• Level production load through scheduling of production for stock
• Regulate finished good stock variance
• Create reports
• Manage planning communication across the teams

This role requires excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills with the ability to synthesise information.  You will be enthusiastic and passionate about all aspects of planning / supply chain with a positive and driven attitude.
