Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for all aspects of the Warehouse administration whilst ensuring cover for the operation side of the warehouse function.
The successful Warehouse Supervisor will support the Warehouse Manager in the running and development of the function by promoting a continuous improvement environment, taking an active role in the training and development of the team, driving improvements, keeping abreast of changes and implementing new processes.
Responsibilities of the Warehouse Supervisor include:
Manage an effective team with specific emphasis on creating a ‘right first time’ operating system.
Ensure all materials and products are handled in a hygienic environment, safely and to specification in compliance with legislation etc.
Ensure good hygiene and housekeeping policies are maintained at all times.
To create a high level of motivation within your teams through sound leadership.
Identify ways to improve with respect to safety, efficiency, skills and quality.
Ensure good communication is are maintained across the business.
Ensure all relevant information is briefed to the appropriate individuals, ensuring objectives are met.
Produce documentation, ensuring accuracy and maintaining timescales.
Maintain good employment practices to legislation, codes of practice company policy, site rules etc.
Deliver team training.
Promote the personal Hygiene Policy, Health & Safety rules and regulations of the Company.
Take responsibility for all aspects of the administration side of the warehouse function.
Ensure the availability of items required to meet customers requirements.
Coordinate any re-pack requests.
Be competent in the approved method of stock measurement / status and effectively act upon returned stock.
You will ideally have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role in FMCG (preferably in a food manufacturing environment), possess an FLT licence and be at intermediate level in Excel.
