A leading FMCG Manufacturer in the Manchester area is currently seeking a Supply Chain Planner to support on a 12 month contract, with a possible extension to 15 months.

The successful Supply Chain Planner will be responsible for short term production scheduling, the creation of daily plans, reviewing stock levels and executing orders and shipments to external warehouses.

Reporting into the Supply Chain Manager, you will be regularly communicating with internal and external stakeholders including the production team, customers and logistics service providers; as well as warehouse / shipping customers.

Key Responsibilities of the Supply Chain Planner:
Plan and execute the short term production plan (1-2 weeks) against forecasted sales volumes
Coordinate the short term plan with long term forecasts
Escalate any nonconformities from the production plan
Maintain stock levels and monitor inventory availability
Coordinate and review inventory versus production capacity to meet demand of customers
Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders,
Work with third party packaging, warehousing, quality and raw material suppliers
Drive continuous improvement
Deliver projects to improve service where possible

You will ideally have English and Maths GCSE or equivalent with experience in Supply Chain and / or Planning, within a fast paced food, drink, chemical manufacturer.

You will be PC literate with Microsoft Office and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills. You’ll have a good understanding of ERP / MRP systems, be able to work as part of a team, possess excellent time management skills and have strong communication skills.

Please note, although the role is on a Fixed Term Contract basis there may be scope for a permanent role within the business or other FTC opportunities.
