The successful Engineering Manager will be responsible for maintaining the day to day site facilities and support the Engineering team. You will ensure compliance to legal, H&S, Environmental and food safety, be responsible for leading improvement projects and assist with the operations management of the manufacturing site.
You will ideally have experience in change management and expansion projects within another food manufacturing business, able to work on a number of projects at one time with the ability to manage a diverse team.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Budget management for both department and projects.
Oversee the operational areas within manufacturing, reacting to issues that arise and problem solving.
Driving Lean manufacturing practices to analyse current processes and implement improvements.
Reporting KPI’s and performance of each department to senior leadership.
Be a member of the H&S committee ensuring all Health and Safety procedures are observed, maintaining ISO45001.
Member of the HACCP team.
Consider CSR targets when implementing and maintaining services and machinery.
Supervise, lead and mentor multiple teams.
Create and implement strategies for completing projects in a timely manner.
Research and develop designs and products.
Define training and development for team.
Hiring contractors and build successful teams.
You will be a proactive forward-thinking Engineering / Operational Manager with strong Engineering experience, ideally within a fast paced food manufacturing environment. You will understand different engineering disciplines with health and safety experience, skilled in managing risk along with proven leadership skills.
You will ideally have a Masters in an Engineering discipline, H&S qualified with industrial service management experience. BOAS diploma desirable but not essential.
