Senior Product Development Manager - UK, Remote Role
Six figure salary with benefits and travel

My client is a fast growing, international start up, on a mission to change the history of plastic and have a global impact by developing and manufacturing flexible compostable packaging. Their vision is that compostable flexible packaging becomes part of a systemic solution to the global plastic pollution challenge. They offer consumers and brands the durability and shelf life they have come to expect of ordinary plastics, whilst offering a safe and sustainable end‐of‐life solution.

They are looking for Senior Product Development Manager, with an Engineering degree and vast experience in extrusion of films and laminates' Machinery. This role aims at enabling a smooth transition between my clients inventions and state-of-the-art developments into their adaptations to the industrial scale machinery; that will offer the tangible creation of new compostable flexible packaging solutions.

The role holder will engage with external partners to create collaboration and/or joint‐developments, within my clients industry.

The role holder will be based in Europe, but will report to the VP of Global Technology, based overseas.

Role Requirements 

   Fluent in English!

   A degree in Engineering: Materials, Machinery or Chemistry.

   3+ years of experience in working at a machine manufacturer, preferably in Plastic films & Laminates.

   3+ years of experience in a global Converting company.

   Former experience, of at least 3 years, in the mediation of machines and materials, Resin, Polymers.

   Managerial experience of at least 3 years.

   A high level of independence at work.

   Willingness to travel throughout Europe.

   Hands on abilities; agility & readiness to work at an intense, fast growing start up.
