This role would really suit somebody who is looking for their first role into a QA department within food manufacturing. Perhaps you have done some study and wish to start in a QA role or perhaps you are working in a food production environment at the moment and want to get more involved in QA. 

This Food Manufacturer have a factory based in Salisbury is currently seeking a Quality Technician to join their site Technical Team. Your role will be all about ensuring that the site produces quality products to client specifications. This is a fantastic business with a long-serving team who can really support and develop you. The site is going from strength to strength. They have a fantastic culture with a friendly, supportive and development-focused environment.

4on, 4off, Days, 6am-6pm (some flexibility is required on shifts for holiday cover)

QA - Quality Technician – Summary of key responsibilities:
  • Completion of quality assurance checks throughout the process of producing customer products
  • Conduct and record results of daily, weekly and monthly checks such as scale records, temperature probes calibration and refrigeration equipment, downloading on a weekly basis data logger info and monitor
  • Check daily production paperwork
  • Raw materials checks
  • Prepare, conduct and record results of daily taste panel
  • Carry out micro equipment and hand swabs, Allergen swabs, prepare samples for laboratory
  • Completion of various Internal audits including GMP, CCP and Traceability and ensure that corrective actions are implemented.
  • QA positive release of product including the management of the reject and non-conformance database.
Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment is essential for this role. Food Safety would be an advantage. We are looking for an Excellent communicator who is confident to speak to different departments across the company. Attention to detail, highly organised and able to work under pressure in a fast moving environment. Computer literacy with MS Office (Word & Excel).
