Chester, Wirral, Liverpool, Ellesmere Port, Deeside, North West.

A leading SME Food Manufacturer is seeking to appoint a Supply Chain Manager on an initial 12 month FTC. Reporting to the Procurement Director, the successful Supply Chain Manger Manager will be responsible for the end to end function, encompassing delivery of raw materials; planning, despatch transport throughout UK.

The successful Supply Chain Manager / Logistics Manager will have previous experience of Supply Chain / Logistics / Warehouse Management within a senior capacity at an SME FMCG Manufacturing environment (food manufacturing desirably) and have experience of working within a hands on, end to end role.

Supply Chain Manager responsibilities:

Support on indirect management of Warehouse Operations via Warehouse Manager and Supervisory Team

Effectively manage all raw/finished goods storage operations, ensuring stock rotation, traceability, security and the safety of product and personnel.

Ensure the effective, timely and safe distribution of all goods to the customer base in the most cost effective manner.

Manage and co-ordinate the despatch order cycle. Identifying and communicate any SLA issue to the business.

Ensure that all racking and material handling equipment (FLTs etc) are safely used and appropriately maintained.

Liaise with Production and Planning Managers ensuring inventory policies are maintained within targets.

Control stock inventory and ensure reliable records through the use cycle counting and other stock verification tools.

Develop business plans and keep abreast of new developments likely to affect the future purchase and movement of goods and services.

To develop and train logistics and warehouse staff to ensure that they operate in a safe manor and consistent with company policies.
