A major FMCG Manufacturer based in North Wales is currently recruiting for a Quality Manager to join their senior leadership team. This role provides excellent scope to balance day to day operational challenges and demands whilst enhancing reputations with customers in pressured, results driven FMCG manufacturing environment. This is an opportunity to join a company with a strategic focus on innovative technologies and who are successfully opening up new markets and commercial opportunities. You will ideally have a Technical Engineering / Quality Engineering background and a proven track record in leadership abilities as well as being very customer facing.

Quality Manager Responsibilities include:

Reporting to the Plant Director, you will lead a team of 9 personnel
Develop and create a proactive world class quality function and culture
Drive change and Continuous Improvement
Develop credibility and be a first point of contact for customers – customer relationships lay at the heart of this fast moving business
Provide solutions
Develop modern and structured systems and procedures, designed to improve performance and profitability
Foster excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure compliance and appropriate responses to quality issues
Route Cause Analysis – Troubleshooting
Work closely with Operations and support all site departments
Internal / External auditing
Trials / NPI
Review Customer complaints database daily ensuring resolution and close out

You will be a degree qualified / equivalent, Quality Manager and have experience in a high volume, fast moving manufacturing environment such as packaging, food or drink manufacturing.
A technical knowledge and an understanding of processes, materials, faults on machines are essential for this role as well as proven experience with supplier complaint review / claims.
You will have proven experience in delivery of projects, being at the forefront of customer relationships and possess exemplary leadership abilities. You will be a completer – finisher, comfortable with holding people to account, used to driving change and someone used to working in both a Reactive and Proactive, environment.
