This role will require former FMCG Food / Drink Manufacturing experience.
The Engineering Manager will ensure the safe, effective, and efficient running of the department is maintained through the engineering team and ensure daily workloads are prioritised and delivered in compliance to site policies and procedures; whilst delivering the highest standards in asset care and driving continuous improvement projects.
Engineering Manager Responsibilities include:
Ensure the site has the correct level of the engineering support across a 24/7 manufacturing site.
Coach and Mentor the engineering teams in meeting department standards.
Deliver the Engineering Strategy
Deputise in the absence of the Head of Engineering.
Be point of call for Senior Engineers outside of normal working hours for issues.
Support the positive development of the site H&S culture to promote ownership of H&S within the team, ensuring compliance with statutory and company H&S requirements within area of control. To identify, assess and control health and safety and other risks.
Collaborate with other departments to support the delivery of the site manufacturing plan
Able to lead, motivate, coach others, delegating effectively to develop a sense of pride and ownership in team performance and engineering strategy.
Manage the Teams PDR’s and training plans and align resource.
Ensure the Senior Engineers deliver the Engineering element of the daily operations meeting, providing a thorough review of the plans.
Attend the Site daily review meeting
Identify, lead and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
Support Customer/ External technical and legal compliance audits
Participate in Environmental and Sustainability Plans
Implement IT systems to support Real Time KPI and plant reliability performance measures.
You will ideally be degree qualified / equivalent in a technical / engineering discipline and be an Engineering Manager with proven leadership and delivery within Food Manufacturing environment.
You will have former experience in Budget and Financial Metrics and a breadth of experience within complex engineering operations.
You will be IT literate and be used to delivering data analytics.
