Friday to Sunday Weekend Shift 6pm – 6am and 6am - 6pm (36 hours and 3 shifts per week)

A fantastic opportunity to join a well established manufacturing business with over 50 years history specialising in the supply to Automotive tier 1 supply, Packaging, Engineering and Horticultural markets. They now have a workforce of over 200 and are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join the business at a time when they have multiple new and exciting installation and decommissioning projects for manufacturing lines and production machinery on site.

This role will join the engineering team on site, covering the weekend shifts Friday through to Sunday alternatving between days and nights meaning you’ll get Monday through to Thursday night off every week.  If you have worked in a manufacturing environment, as a multi skilled engineer with good solid electrical background then we would be really keen to discuss this opportunity further with you.

You’ll be a time-served, preferably from a Manufacturing background, with a National Vocational Qualification in Engineering or equivalent City & Guilds, and will hold an 16th/17th or 18th Edition qualification.      

Duties will include:-
  • Carrying out planned maintenance activities
  • Inspections, repairs and routine maintenance
  • Troubleshooting and fault finding
  • Installation of equipment and machinery across various departments
  • Working closely with the Manufacturing teams to ensure all machines are running to their full potential
  • Ensure housekeeping is carried out to standards set by 5S
  • Carry out effective shift changeover communication routines
  • Timely and effective reporting of required information 
The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of fault finding and diagnostic skills, be able to proactively respond to ever changing production demands and have the ability to engage and express ideas with other team members.
