A leading manufacturer with a site in the Bedford area is currently seeking a Production Planner / Materials Coordinator to take full responsibility for the planning process.

The successful Planner will work cross-functionally assisting with supply, demand and forecast and will provide support to the leadership team in making effective decisions.

You will be a driven, self motivated Planner with experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment. You’ll have excellent experience of material coordination and production planning with knowledge of S&OP processes and procedures.

Responsibilities of the Production Planner / Materials Coordinator include:
Work collaboratively with teams across the business to ensure robust planning strategies
Ensure daily, weekly and monthly production schedules are actioned and amended where necessary
Ensure stock levels are maintained along with Material KPI management
Understand risks such as downtime and material shortages and minimise the impact on production scheduling
Collect data to identify problematic areas and make improvements to processes and procedures
Take ownership and accountability for the delivery of a production schedule to support customer demand
Maintain and report target level of proficiency in core areas
Drive accountability with cross‐functional team members in Logistics / Ops to report on Schedule Attainment

You will be an excellent communicator with a customer focus and able to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. You will be results driven and thrive in a highly pressured environment.
