An opportunity has risen for a Principal EC&I Engineer to join a leading Engineering solutions provider working on significant highly regulated projects. 

The Principal EC&I Engineer is accountable to the Head of Engineering and responsible for delegated Design Authority activities. They will ensure that all engineered solutions and deliverables meet the intent of the design specifications, adhere to relevant standards, codes and directives, and comply with QSHE processes. 

The Principal EC&I Engineer will provide technical knowledge, leadership, guidance and support to deliver projects, ensuring that all actions, activities and outputs underpin the integrity, expertise and competency of the Company.

They will oversee and originate EC&I concept designs and engineering studies in order to develop effective solutions and subsequently prepare and present these proposals direct to stakeholders and colleagues.
They will also provide design and engineering guidance to colleagues, subcontractors, suppliers and clients as appropriate, in addition to the following design development and detailed design activities:

o Electrical LV design (MCC, UPS, lighting, general distribution etc.)

o Electrical HV design (11KV, transformers, protection relays, RMUs etc.)

o Control system design (DCS)

o Fire alarm design


 The Principal EC&I Engineer will have working knowledge of relevant standards, codes and directives, and experience  of  working  with  safety  functional  requirements  in  a  regulated  design environment.
