A leading FMCG Food manufacturer in Manchester is currently seeking a Supply Chain Planning Manager due to business growth.

Reporting into the Head of Supply Chain, the Planning Manager will play a pivotal role within the business providing both short term operational planning and longer term strategic planning assumptions and plans. Leading a team of planners this role will look to develop the company planning capability through both enhancing the planning systems and developing the team.

The successful Supply Chain Planning Manager will have previous experience within an FMCG manufacturing environment You will have an analytical mind-set with excellent leadership capabilities with an ethos to develop and mentor staff to achieve their full potential. You will be fully conversant with all aspects of Production Planning, MRP, Forecasting and Capacity Planning.

Planning Manager Responsibilities include:
Lead and develop the Planning team.
Accountable for weekly Operational plans – working collaboratively with Procurement, Production and Warehouse teams.
Produce monthly capacity charts feeding into demand and supply meetings in the S&OP cycle, highlighting any risks and / or opportunities.
Support and lead Supply Chain projects.
Work with the Customer Service team to an excellent service.
Accountable for weekly PVP reports and meet with production teams to understand any constraints, issues and opportunities.
Develop trends refresh capacity based on performance.
Be accountable for all planning rates in conjunction with production team.
Develop labour planning and working with production to create flexible labour crews.
Involvement in NPD meetings and process feeding into capacity assumptions.
Manage team performance including the responsibility of holidays, sickness and return to work.
Be a part of the Operational Leadership team helping to drive broader operational performance and direction.
