A leading chilled foods manufacturer is currently seeking a QA Auditor to join their Quality team, reporting directly to the Quality Manager to ensure products are manufactured to the correct safety, legality and quality standards. This role is for 12 months to cover maternity leave, this will be reviewed during employment and whilst it's not guaranteed that it will go permanent, it's highly likely that it will.

4on, 4off, Days, 6am-6pm

Key responsibilities:
  • To complete a daily CCP / GMP audit of the site to monitor the quality, safety and legality of our products.
  • To be able to challenge the site traceability system
  • To carry out process audits and End of Life Panels to raise any concerns and highlight areas for improvement / change.
  • To attend a daily production meeting / provide a technical support function to production to complete a shift report communicating shift incidents and concerns.
  • To carry out daily / scheduled microbiological sampling of end product and individual components.
  • Maintain shelf life
  • The QA auditor will be responsible for specific QA systems which currently include:
  • Equipment calibration / ingredient sampling for micro and chemical testing / process validation audits and raw material assessments / supplier contact on out specification issues.
  • There will be opportunities to work with the QA Manager on specific projects which may arise within the business.
Ideally you will have experience in a similar role within a Food manufacturing environment. Excellent team working, planning and organising skills are essential as well as Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and listening
