Scantec are working exclusively with a leading FMCG Food Manufacturing company with a site based in North Manchester. We are currently seeking Elec-Bias Maintenance Engineers to join their team working a 4on, 4off pattern. 7-7, 2x days, 2 nights. This is a fantastic business who have undergone huge investment of late. They have a fantastic culture with a friendly, supportive and development-focused environment. Overtime is available on your scheduled 4 off. 

Maintenance Engineer - Brief summary of responsibilities:
  • Continuous development of knowledge and familiarity with the engineering requirements of the site process systems and machinery
  • Work as an active part of a skilled cross functional planned maintenance team
  • Ensure correct Health & Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene standards are adhered to at all times
  • Ensure a fast and effective response especially under breakdown conditions
  • Quickly diagnose faults and take corrective action
  • Assist an support mechanical engineers with their duties
  • Actively participate in a Continuous Improvement culture throughout the site, constantly identifying opportunities to improve efficiency's and reduce waste
  • Assist in the training of fellow maintenance engineers, Operator-Technicians and others where necessary
  • Ensure planned maintenance work is completed to strict schedules, and constantly look for improvements that will ensure reliability of equipment is improved
  • Ensure good working practices are adhered to throughout
  • Work on various projects including installation and modifications to plant and equipment.
You will be an experienced Maintenance Engineer (ideally electrical bias) with the relevant suitable qualifications within either a Mechanical or Electrical discipline. Experience within a fast paced FMCG Manufacturing environment is essential. 17th / 18th edition is an advantage.
