An exciting opportunity has arisen for a E&I Technician to join a leading global provider of integrated transportation, storage and distribution solutions for chemicals and bulk-liquid products, based in Dagenham. The top tier COMAH, bulk liquid storage terminal is located on the River Thames and due to extensive modernisation and expansion they are looking for an E&I Technician to carry out day to day preventative, planned and reactive maintenance of Electrical, Controls and Instrument equipment.
The E&I Technician will report to the Maintenance Supervisor be responsible for:
- Completing E&I tasks associated with the planned maintenance programme
- Completing E&I tasks associated with breakdown maintenance
- Completing E&I tasks associated with the installation of equipment
The E&I Technician will have:
A background in the Oil and Gas or Chemical industry
Experience with requirements of Electricity at work regulations BS7671
Knowledge of maintaining and troubleshooting PLC based control systems
Knowledge of maintaining and troubleshooting process instrumentation
Experience of operating, maintaining and inspecting high voltage switchgear and distribution networks is advantageous
Compex trained and familiar with the requirements of IEC 60079 and ATEX 137 is desirable
COMAH site experience is advantageous
