Our Client is looking for an Instrument Technician for a ongoing Work on a Power station in Connahs Quay
Daily Duties Include:
Fault finding on all types of power station instrument apparatus
Working on all aspect of modern plant control instrumentation including pressure, flow , temperature and level
Environmental monitoring equipment and analysers utilising Beamex and standards quality calibration tools
Complete calibration and quality reports on your findings.
Work on control and actuating valves and Siemens PS2 positioners.
Able to carry out electrical and instrumentation installation works to high standard.
Experience required includes:
A broad understanding of Power Station operations
Trained and competent to plan work on gas plant and apparatus
experience working in a Heavy Industrial environment
Essential:
CCNSG
Engineering craft based qualification in an appropriate engineering discipline to NVQ level 3 or industry recognised apprenticeship with academic qualifications to ONC, or equivalent relevant experience
Desirable:
Knowledge of rotating plant and valve actuators including electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic switches would be an advantage.
Able to read design and construction drawings including P&ID
Trained in profibus installation techniques would be an advantage
Start date: September
Hours of work: 38 Monday – Friday
Self Employed Rates: £26.01p/h
Candidates may have relevant experience in the following roles: Installation Electrician, Maintenance Engineer, Shift Electrician.
