The role’s primary focus is delivering the best possible service at the lowest delivered costs by ensuring that the commercial priorities are reflected in the plans, supporting the planners to mitigate supply risks, and directing customer service with timely data and guidance. Key to the success of the role will be the provision of a short term view on supply risks.
Supply Planner / Production Planner responsibilities include:
The job will be a mixture of daily planning (next 7days) and short term planning (12 weeks).
Ensure we have efficient 7 day plans supported by materials that deliver against the service priorities.
Closely partner with operations, material planning, supply planning and customer services ensuring that plans are viable, executed, plan changes are communicated in a timely manner, and that performance against those plans is communicated rapidly to the Supply planning and Logistics team.
Escalate risks quickly, with proposed solutions
Create 12 week plans that deliver 99% service, identifying and flagging service risks, capacity gaps/opportunities.
Generate 3 weeks of rolling works orders to support MRP
Provide 12 weeks MRP data off the back of the plans to material planning
Manage and maintain planning tool with new SKU’s and master data.
Generate daily/weekly performance reports
Provide data on plan attainment and SKU production rates for use in quarterly rate review
Host weekly planning meetings
Work closely with various departments to ensure any time requirements on the plan are planned in a timely fashion.
Provide support to NPD and projects as required.
Manage restatement process to offer true measure of customer service.
Measure and report customer service KPI.
Create 6 week service issue list, with root causes using a variety of tools and drive improvement actions.
Communicate service issues across relevant business functions and customer supply chains within regular weekly meetings.
Create a 3 month service issue summary highlighting pinch points to feed into S&OP
Identify patterns and trends in service, supply issues and root causes for regular review by Supply Chain Leadership Team.
You will ideally be degree qualified / equivalent and have experience working within both Supply planning and Production planning in a manufacturing environment.
