A leading FMCG food manufacturer is currently seeking an EHS Manager / Health Safety and Environment Manager / HSE Manager to manage, develop and sustain a safety focussed culture and promote environmental best practice integral with the routine running of the site.
Reporting to the Site Manager, the EHS Manager will be a stand alone role
And will require you to have your NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent in occupational health and safety and experience working in a FMCG food manufacturing environment.

EHS Manager / HSE Manager responsibilities include:

Manage and oversee Health, Safety and Environment of the site
Propose improvement projects across the site for the purposes of health, safety & environmental
Develop policy proposals and safe systems of work
Ensure the H&S systems on site are maintained.
Maintain Environmental Management Systems (EMS)
Ensure H&S statistics for internal and group use are generated.
Risk assessments are conducted.
H&S audits and inspections are carried out
Inspection of PPE and equipment is carried out as required.
H&S training of staff is up to date.
Environmental training and awareness is up to date.
Planning and chairing of the environmental management review.
Responsible for the environmental policy
Ensure site compliance with all UK health and safety legislation.
Maintain effective control over health & safety budget per annum
You will liaise with senior management to ensure all H&S requirements are identified and implemented
Facilitate continuous improvement with health, safety and environmental policies, plans and procedures.

You will be an EHS Manager / HSE Manager / Health, Safety ad Environmental Manager used to working with full site autonomy within a food manufacturing environment.
