HR Manager responsibilities include:
Reporting into the Site Director this role will oversee both day to day and strategic HR plan.
Provide support to managers in the recruitment of all staff.
Work closely with senior team and managers, providing them with expert guidance,
coaching and support on the full range of Personnel & training activities
Keep up to date with legal developments and advise management on compliance and risk factors.
Manage investigations, disciplinary and grievance matters for the business.
Provide advice and guidance on individual employee relations cases, ensuring that these are
well managed and meet the requirements of site policies, best practice and employment legislation.
Ensure that managers and staff are aware of the policies and procedures and able to operate them
Provide support to staff on Personnel issues, as and when required.
Monitor and review the system of performance appraisal and continually develop as
necessary, ensuring that annual appraisals are carried out in a timely manner and followed up.
Manager Training and management team, follow up individual development needs and
source external training provision as and when required, monitoring training costs against budget.
Support the Manager Training in evaluating of all learning and development activities.
Make recommendations on a cost-effective management development programme to
support the Senior Team.
Monitor sickness and absence levels and provide monthly management reports.
Manage health issues and medical referrals.
Promote wellbeing and health life style initiatives as part of company sustainability plan.
Review and manage new starter and leaver processes, including the management of exit
interviews for all staff.
Manage maternity leave administration and flexible working requests.
Monitor personnel trends throughout the organisation and provide management information on Key
Performance Indicators for the monthly Board Report, as appropriate.
implementation of personnel and information management systems and develop where necessary.
Manage the information held on the HR database and personnel files to ensure it is updated
in a timely and accurate manner and complies with any legal or data protection policies.
You will ideally be a degree and CIPD qualified HR Manager with operational HR experience in a high paced FMCG Manufacturing environment. You will be a strategic positioner, change champion and have the ability to adapt communication style to different people at all levels within the business with varying personalities. Excellent interpersonal skills, concise and persuasive orally and in writing with a Business partner focus is essential.
