A leading FMCG Food Manufacturer near the Wembley area is currently seeking a motivated and adaptable Operations Manager to support with the future growth of the business.

Reporting to the Operations Director, the successful Operations Manager will have demonstrable experience of motivating, leading and engaging people to deliver an exceptional level of quality and service.

This is a highly demanding site leadership role requiring a flexible and innovative leader with experience of managing cross functional teams, delivering cost saving initiatives and leading improvement projects. The Operations Manager will thrive in a fast-paced culture with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities of the Operations Manager include:
Responsibility for all operational areas within manufacturing
React to any issues that arise and problem solve
Support with enhancing current systems to assist the company growth strategy
Use Lean manufacturing to review current processes and implement improvements
Be point of contact for Logistics and assist the management team in making decisions
Report to Senior management on KPI progress / performance
Budget control of overhead spend for all operational departments and review forecasts
Source new equipment
Drive continuous operational improvement
Achieve company initiative projects
Ensure the business meets all required standards and service levels
Ensure compliance to all standard procedures and systems

You will have a good knowledge of Logistics, Transport and Warehousing with Lean Manufacturing experience, strong numerical competence and be computer literate. You’ll be ‘team-spirited’, resilient with good attention to detail.
