A Global FMCG Manufacturer is currently recruiting for a Global Head of Sales to take responsibility in developing an effective sales strategy to achieve Business Plan objectives and ensure business grows whilst maintaining the profit margin, leading new business development in the UK and International markets. Reporting into the General Manager this role will assume responsibility for the UK based, international Sales team.

This role will require former international sales experience and ideally within the pharmaceutical Manufacturing / Pharmacy / Health Food FMCG environments.

Global Head of Sales responsibilities include:

Develop and execute strategic sales plan across multiple channels
Work closely with the Director of Technical Services to provide product knowledge, customer training to support new business proposals
Communicate price reviews
Effective sales presentations to key accounts/prospects
Develop marketing strategies with the Head of Marketing to support key multiples
Work closely with Head of Marketing and Director of Technical Services to roll out New Product Development programme to all customers
Develop seasonal promotional deals to ensure sales targets are met and are profitable
Review costings as required
Plan out territories to maximise the efficiency of Area Sales Managers and increase the number of accounts in each area maximising potential sales in each area
Maximise the effectiveness of the top 10 accounts on each area and monitor their performance.
Visit our top independent retailers to gain feedback on the company and how we can continuously improve
Travel on a regular basis to identify new markets to secure business ensuring we meet any and all regulations in that area, primarily Europe and Latin America
Look at ways to market with export sales
Working with the International Sales Manager maximise the potential on existing accounts in all territories
Maximise sales in Ireland via retail channels, distributors and wholesalers
Hold regular sales meetings.
Carry out staff appraisals and produce PDP’s linked to the business plan.
Attend monthly senior management meetings

You will be a Global Head of Sales with proven leadership ability within an FMCG Pharmaceutical / Health / Pharmacy / Food Manufacturing remit.
