The Role

The ideal Lead Mechanical and Electrical Engineer will have well-rounded experience as you will act on behalf of the authority in relation to our £1 billion North London Heat and Power Project.

In this role you will ensure technical solutions proposed meet authority expectations from initiation through to delivery. You will engage and drive forward site wide electrical solutions including integration with site loads. Experience with DNOs e.g. UKPN, Cadent, etc is advantageous.

You will input into building information modelling, review and oversee detailed design for mechanical/electrical solutions as well as ensure contractor designs/constructed works meet the authority's technical and quality requirements.

About you          

The successful candidate will ideally have a degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent. An understanding of financial data/information and knowledge of or ability to understand environmental and waste related legislation, statutory reporting requirements and regulatory frameworks.

Knowledge of or ability to interpret Mechanical / Electrical data/plans/information and to apply logic and judgment is also required.

You will have excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills and have a pro-active approach to work, including identifying and resolving problems/issues, along with demonstrating excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
