A leading FMCG Food manufacturer is currently recruiting for a Production Shift Manager. Reporting into the Manufacturing Manager this role will ensure the safe, effective and efficient management of the production shift and the people involved, meeting the, planning and service requirements whilst maintaining health & safety, quality and food safety standards. You will also drive performance and efficiency within the department
Production Shift Manager responsibilities include:
Lead and ensure H&S and Food safety compliance, delivering on all H&S KPIs (Accident rate, SML & BRC audit score, legal & Mandatory audit score, risk assessment completion etc)
Delivery of manufacturing budget & targets including overhead cost per tonne, OEE, RTF and yield variances and drive quality through the team to create a zero complaint and 100% RFT mind-set
Continuous Improvement Lead and manage robust continuous improvement initiatives in your area to deliver sustainable benefits Lead and manage robust change (e.g. NPD, material trials etc.)
People Management Management/Development of a high performing team (Inc. robust succession planning) Leading GAP analysis on staff requirements, with delivery of high‐quality training and quick and effective recruitment to cover any skills gaps in team
Full understanding of OEE and Yield in your area and detailed step change plan for improvements on production lines.
Lead in the development of brilliant processes to ensure product quality to required statutory, Company and customer standards
To fully integrate new production lines into site and strive for a world class department. To help lead further development and future projects with support from project team
You will be a Production Shift Manager with experience leading a team within a food manufacturing environment.
