Reporting into the Site General Manager, the successful Engineering Manager will oversee the budget and development of the Engineering team and support with the strategic direction of the site’s long terms plans.
The successful Engineering Manager will have a background in fast paced food manufacturing (preferably chilled) coupled with a proven track record of leadership and change management. You will have experience of delivering results against financial targets, service levels and have a good understanding of manufacturing compliance.
Engineering Manager responsibilities include:
Provide and maintain an excellent level of service to site operations
Lead, develop, mentor and inspire the Engineering team developing a strong, engaged culture
Develop and implement a robust maintenance plan
Drive site compliance
Ensure KPI’s are met
Ensure production equipment in acceptable working order
Improve machinery efficiency, minimise time reaction to machinery breakdown and reduce machinery down time
Identify machinery issues
Drive machinery safety standards in line with PUWER98 regs
Advise on training needs and champion H&S practices and procedures
Work collaboratively with the site Hygiene team to ensure all cleaning procedures are followed
Assist and support the New Product Development team
Develop planned maintenance systems
