Principal Planning Officer – Berkshire – £33-37 per hour (negotiable)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen in Berkshire for a Principal Planning Officer to work as one of the lead consultants on a range of Major Applications.

The client is a Local Authority with a large amount of major schemes in place with a track record of delivering development and forward thinking planning.

The Principal Planning Officer role will see you being directly responsible for handling applications of a complex, strategic and major nature and providing an expert consultancy service to assist the council push these important schemes through.
  • Dealing with Major planning applications
  • Appeals through Public Inquiry and Information Hearing
  • Preparing and presenting committee reports
As Principal Planning Officer you will:
  • Have significant experience within a Development Management Service handling major applications
  • Be available for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension beyond this period.
The client is offering a pay rate around £33-37 per hour for this role, which will be inside IR35; however they may be open to negotiation on this dependant on experience and interview.
