Building Control Surveyor – West Yorkshire - £40000-45000

A fantastic opportunity has arisen in West Yorkshire for an experienced Building Control Surveyor to join and lead a team in a fast growing, ambitious company.

The company is a well-established Corporate Approved Inspector based in Leeds. Under the new ownership and with a driven senior management team at the helm, the company has ambitious organic growth plans of opening new geographical regions in order to allow more clients to benefit from its first class service.

You will have the opportunity to oversee your own geographical area, building your own team with the backing of what is a forward thinking company who recognises you for your work. Working on a range of domestic and commercial projects you will be required to examine plans and documents for compliance with Building Regulations and other legislation and to carry out site inspections in order to ensure works on site meet the relevant provisions of building regulations and other legislation.

You will need to have ideally 3-5 years experience as a Building Control Surveyor and be able to demonstrate a competent working knowledge and possess the skills and desire to take on a leadership role. Whilst chartership is not essential for the role, it may be advantageous in the selection process if you are a member of a nationally recognised body, and the company will actively support you in the process of becoming chartered if you are intending to take this path.
