A large food manufacturing company with a site based in Leicester is currently looking to recruit a Specifications Technologist to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful Spec Tech will report in to the Quality Systems Manager, the main purpose of the role is to be responsible for major retailer specifications and in turn ensure the timely delivery of product release.

Key accountabilities for Specifications Technologist –
  • Managing and maintaining branded and own label specifications using online web based portals.
  • Co-managing the artwork process ensuring all packaging information is correct in accordance to legal requirements.
  • Raw materials specifications.
  • Work alongside Process Manager on site to ensure critical paths are adhered to.
  • Be present at customer pre-artwork meetings.
  • Support the product substitution process.
 To be considered for this role you must have recent relevant experience of working with retailer specs systems for a food or drink manufacturing company.  You must be a well organised person with excellent IT skills and be able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
