A pharmaceutical manufacturing company with a site based in Liverpool is currently seeking an Interim Health and Safety Advisor to join their team for a 6 month period. The main purpose of the role is to promote and facilitate health and safety on site inline with company policies and procedures. The Health & Safety Advisor will report in to the Health & Safety Manager.

Key accountabilities for H&S Advisor –
  • Lead & coordinate Health & Safety activities.
  • Head up the induction process for new staff across the site in relation to H&S.
  • Advise line managers on legal requirements, industry best practice, and company standards.
  • Ensure communication with key stakeholders is strong to help drive the health & safety plan.
  • Reinforce good safety cultures, creating the forums and opportunities to involve and communicate with colleagues
  • Coordinate the maintenance/review of risk assessment and safe systems of work processes.
  • Coordinate the accident investigation processes.
  • Carry out routine Site Health & Safety/Environmental audits to comply with the site requirements.
  • Review, update and maintain Site Health & Safety/Environmental Policy & procedures manuals.
 To be considered for this role you must have a good understanding of H&S legislation and ideally have been involved with implementation. You must have NEBOSH qualification and experience with fire risk and asbestos management. The successful candidate must also have recent experience of working within the pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing industry.
