A leading FMCG Food Manufacturer in the Somerset area is currently seeking a Production Shift Manager to lead the team on the backshift.

The successful Team Manager will have excellent experience of leading, developing, motivating and empowering a production team in a fast paced food manufacturing environment.

You will be an inspirational, passionate, engaging, driven leader who is able to get the best out of the team and able to drive a continuous improvement culture across the production area.

Responsibilities of the Shift Manager include:
Drive culture of change by coaching, mentoring and developing the team.
Ensure management and safety of the team and working environment including food safety, GMP and quality.
Execute the production plan.
Labour Cost / Efficiency delivery.
Manage the team rota and holidays and lead team briefing meetings
KPI reporting / systems supporting a Lean environment.
Maintain consistent materials variance.
Meet operational, supply chain, quality and customer service demands.
Ensure adherence to product specifications and process parameters.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis.
Continuous improvement projects.
Hold team performance reviews, training, disciplinary meetings and return to work process.
Supervision of production and warehouse teams.
Ensure all EHS policies and procedures are followed.
Work closely with technical and New Product Development team.
